NASA recently approved the LASIK technology and procedure used at Optical Express for use on astronauts.
Are You A Candidate?
Laser vision correction can treat a very high degree of nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. Your eyes are as individual as you are. In order to assess your eligibility for laser vision correction, we invite you to attend a free consultation with one of our experienced Doctors of Optometry. This in-depth eye examination, which includes additional tests that go beyond the standard eye examination as well as assessments of your expectations and lifestyle, will determine if you are a suitable candidate.
Do you know your prescription?
Nearsightedness (Myopia)

If you need vision correction to see things clearly at a distance, you are nearsighted. Without glasses or contact lenses your vision is blurred.
Farsightedness (Hyperopia)
If you need vision correction to read or see things close up, you are farsighted. Depending on your age you may have problems focusing on distant objects, too.
Astigmatism

Astigmatism is a condition in which the cornea is more egg-shaped than round. Most astigmatic corneas have two curves: a steeper curve and a flatter curve. This causes light to focus at more than one point in the eye, resulting in blurred vision. Nearsighted and farsighted people often have a degree of astigmatism.
Reading Glasses (Presbyopia)
Presbyopia should not be confused with farsightedness. In middle age, the natural lens can no longer quickly focus from far away to close up. By their 40s and 50s, whether they have laser surgery or not, most people require reading glasses, even if they have never had to wear glasses before. Treatments will soon be available to eliminate the need for reading glasses. If you are unsure whether or not this treatment would be appropriate for you, please contact us. A number of alternative solutions, such as an Intraocular Lens Implant, may be a good choice for you.
