One of the reasons people have their surgery carried out at Optical Express is because we use only highly skilled, experienced and dedicated Ophthalmic Surgeons. All our Ophthalmologists specialize in the field of refractive surgery and together have carried out in excess of 600,000 procedures. They are all registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) and are fully trained on the VISX laser platform. Furthermore, they are annually assessed by the International Medical Advisory Board (IMAB), consisting of several of the world’s leading refractive surgeons, including Steve Schallhorn, former Head of Ophthalmology for the US Navy.
